Call for Conference Contributions

The Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Prishtina is pleased to invite you to the 65th Anniversary Conference of the Faculty of Philosophy in Kosovo: Social Sciences, Humanities and Change, which will take place on 30 October, 2025 in Prishtina and online.

This year marks the 65th anniversary of the Faculty of Philosophy, which has long served as the leading academic institution in the fields of social sciences and humanities in Kosovo and beyond. To commemorate this milestone, a conference will be held to reflect on the Faculty’s decades-long journey, highlighting its role, achievements, contributions, evolution, opportunities, and challenges, while providing a forward-looking perspective on its future development.

We welcome original research papers, position papers, case studies, and other academic contributions that explore the challenges and opportunities of studying and teaching social sciences and humanities, particularly in the societies of the Southeastern Europe. The event will also provide an opportunity to reflect on the profound legacy of the social sciences and humanities in shaping and driving social transformation. It will explore how these fields have contributed to the development of critical thought, social progress, and cultural understanding, while also addressing their evolving role in responding to contemporary challenges in an ever-changing global landscape.

Submission Guidelines

• Submissions should include a title, an abstract of 200-300 words, 3-5 keywords, and brief information about the author(s) (up to 100 words per author)
• Submissions must be original and not under review or published elsewhere
• We welcome submission in English or Albanian
• Submission should be submitted through email:  [email protected]
• All submissions will be reviewed by the conference’s academic committee
